Customer health score from one ROI-proxy metric (banded)
You get a single-metric customer health score with traffic-light bands that are structurally sound: one chosen ROI proxy, ordered, non-overlapping, gap-free ranges that cover the whole metric domain.
You receive: A JSON health-score model: one named ROI-proxy metric plus an ordered set of color bands, each with a numeric range, that tile the declared metric domain.

- Why This Metric
- For STUD, value only lands when a play run passes its acceptance check and the deliverable enters the workspace. Accepted runs per buyer per 90 days is the one metric that proxies realized ROI: it counts work actually done and kept, not logins, page views, or credits merely purchased. The illustrative active buyer spends about $25 a month on prepaid packs, roughly 1.25 plays a month at the typical 500-credit price, so a 90-day window (about 3.75 accepted runs, call it 4) gives the count enough resolution to band on; the bands are anchored on that operating point (labeled illustrative).
Bands
| Color | Lower | Upper | Label | Action |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| red | 0 | 1 | Dormant | Founder outreach within 48 hours: a buyer with no accepted run in a quarter has not formed the habit; walk one play end to end with them. Their purchased credits never expire, so the credits are still there to spend. |
| orange | 1 | 2 | At risk | Send two play recommendations matched to the facts already in their workspace; the intake pre-fill is the hook. |
| yellow | 2 | 4 | Forming | Nudge toward a second playbook: buyers who run plays in two or more playbooks compound faster. |
| light-green | 4 | 8 | Healthy | At or above the illustrative norm of about 4 accepted runs a quarter (1.25 a month). Monitor only; when their balance runs low, surface the larger one-time packs and their bonus credits. |
| green | 8 | 15 | Compounding | Expansion conversation: 8 or more accepted runs a quarter is about 4,000 credits, more than a 500-credit pack a month, so a 5,000-credit pack ($200, plus 750 bonus credits) or an annual prepay pack fits better than repeat small packs. |

Bands tile the full domain [0, 15] with no gaps or overlaps; higher is healthier. Thresholds are illustrative, set from STUD's launch scenario (40 activated buyers month 1, an active buyer at about $25 a month in packs, roughly 1.25 plays a month, about 4 a quarter), not measured cohort data.
